Overview

Embedded is a docu-series that fights all forms of human trafficking. With a team that operates both domestically and internationally, Embedded aims to dismantle the shadowy networks of this global scourge. The series not only traces the origins of traffickers and their methodologies in ensnaring victims but also seeks to educate its audience about the intricate infrastructure that sustains this illicit industry. By shedding light on this pressing issue, Embedded contributes to the global fight against human trafficking, aiming to inform, awaken, and mobilize collective action.

Embedded places the viewer front and center in the planning and execution of human-trafficking investigations, intercepts, rescues, and arrest operations. The audience will come face-to-face with even more cunning perpetrators, the challenges of combating trafficking unique to every state and nation on Earth – and in every viewer’s backyard.

Dramatization of trafficking from Embedded the Series

The risk and danger faced by the team – both physical and mental – are real. Each operation exposes the team to potentially violent criminal elements, gun-wielding pimps, and ruthless criminal networks – all hiding in plain sight. They can do everything right and still lose victims and perpetrators. Direct and vicarious trauma from repeated encounters with victims takes an insidious toll on the emotional well-being of the entire team. From maintaining their cover in intense situations to split-second decisions with life-changing legal and operational consequences.

To date, the principal filmmakers and creative team have…

– Established deep relationships with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies.
– Conducted successful operations in Cambodia, Los Angeles, and Virginia.
– Successfully produced a 60-minute episode investigating a wealthy Beverly Hills trafficker exploiting 12-20 girls per month through an Illicit Massage Business (IMB).
– Completed principal photography on a second 60-minute episode.
– Continued to expand the scope of investigative opportunities including sex and labor trafficking.
– Engaged in assessment for episode operations in Miami, New York, the Dominican Republic, West Africa, India, Indonesia, and in Louisville, KY during the KY Derby.
