Synopois
Sam, a promising high school athlete, while in a drunken stupor, impregnates his girlfriend Cindy. Suddenly, she disappears from his life on Christmas Eve without any explanation. In an attempt to medicate his broken heart with alcohol, his sorrows are multiplied when he is arrested for DUl. Leading into his dismissal from the school's basketball team and thwarting his dream of landing a college scholarship. To forget his lost love, he joins the navy to escape the memories of his past, but addiction leads t o a dishonorable discharge and an aimless life of drinking, wandering, wondering and hating Christmas. On each Christmas his pain is intensified because the night before Christmas marked the anniversary of the inception and the end of his lovely relationship. The mystery of the lost girlfriend is solved after forty-three years when, on a Christmas Eve, the inexplicable behavior of a dog leads him t o a completion of the miraculous circle of his life.
